My name is Caleb, and I am in my first year of F.I.S. I grew up racing for the Vernon Ski Club out of Silver Star Mountain, which I was a part of from U8 to U16.
Our team is in Panorama for the Christmas series, for many of the first years, including myself, this will be our first FIS race, and I am stoked to get my first start. This is a great environment to be in, Panorama is a great race hill, and it's always lots of fun to ski. Our team makes it even more so. My teammates and coaches are always super supportive and lots of fun to be around.
We got some great training on Tuesday before the race with some quality GS time, then on the day before the race, we got 25 cm of snow overnight, so we spent the day soaking up the fresh lines. This was my first powder day of the year and definitely one to remember
I am super excited to be in Pano, and I cannot wait to push out of the start gate
