My name is Sacha, and I’m going into my 3rd year on the Okanagan Zone Ski Team. I have been involved in ski racing since I was 5, through the Big White Ski Club. Coming off of 2 years of FIS, I have some experience going into this season, and I have graduated high school, so ski racing is my primary focus! I am very excited about the upcoming season and hope I can compete at a high level.
The last 2 months, after getting back from skiing in Europe, I have been working a ton at Summerhill Winery as a cellar hand. It was the harvest season, so it was super busy. I learned a ton about winemaking and, despite it being my whole life for the last 2 months, had quite a bit of fun! Ski racing isn’t cheap, and while my parents are my biggest sponsors, I still have a very large personal investment in my seasons.
Despite a minor delay due to a lack of snow, I’m super looking forward to our first camp in Panorama and hope to hit the ground running at our first race at the ‘Quay. Thanks for reading!
